Mina Wentworth and the Invisible City - Meljean Brook
I totally loved this instalment! The novella is set 8 months later with both Mina and Rhys are settling down and adjusting to married life. A problematic case crops up when a murder of a factory owner happens and Mina with the help of Rhys have to discover who is behind it. This was such a fantastic story, and I loved the development of the romance with Rhys and Mina who are so deeply in love but worried for each other especially about Mina's job and the danger it can present. But Rhys is willing to give her the space and the support to Mina which I loved. This is in a lot of ways reminds me of the In Death novels which has a similar dynamic but the steampunk/fantasy setting makes this stand out in a delightful way. I adored The Iron Duke, and this is a great followup. I really hope we get to see more of Rhys and Mina in future books or novellas, but if there is isn't any more - this is a wonderful extra to the main book and for a novella it was very fulfilling!
